Please join us for the second Official fundraising event for The Five Horizons Foundation! The worlds greatest rock band, Pearl Jam, is playing the First Niagara Center on October 12th, 2013 and we're going to be pre partying over at the brand new bar, The Buffalo Iron Works! Who: All are welcome! This will be a Pearl Jam fan pre concert party but anyone who wants to come out to support Pearl Jam or Autism is more than welcome to attend. RSVP on Facebook
What: This is the second Official fundraiser for the new Five Horizons Foundation which was recently started by CometothePorch.net founder Joe Little and is being supported by a team of amazing Pearl Jam fans. Our primary focus is helping children and families affected by autism in honor of Joe's son, Mack, who was recently diagnosed. Please use the links above for more information on the Foundation.
Where: Buffalo Iron Works - 49 Illinois Street, Buffalo, NY 14203. Buffalo Iron Works JUST opened their doors and we are proud to be one of their fist events. Come early for lunch!
When: Saturday October 12th, 2013 at 2pm. Raffle will begin promptly at 5:00pm. Concert starts at 7:30.
Why: All donations will directly benefit children and families affected by autism. The Five Horizons Foundation is dedicated to increasing awareness, acceptance and education of autism. For example, we recently worked with a variety of donors to achieve the goal of providing one iPad for every child in an autism center. For this event, we will be partnering with a local autism organization called the Autism Services, Inc. They specialize in serving the autism community of western New York through music and art therapy. A perfect combination for Pearl Jam fans!
Raffle: At 5pm we will start pulling raffle tickets! Win Pearl Jam or Buffalo themed items donated by your fellow Pearl Jam fans! Raffle tickets will be on sale starting at 2pm!
Donations: We need your help! If you have a Pearl Jam or Buffalo themed item that you can contribute to the raffle it will go a long way towards helping raise money for an incredible cause. Please email us if you can make a contributions: donations@5Horizons.org.
Entertainment: After the raffle, get warmed up for the show with cover band Mookie Blaylock! During the party we will have our favorite iPod of PJ, Soundgarden, TOD, et all.
Parking: Buffalo Iron Works is right next to the venue so you can feel comfortable parking, coming to the party, hitting the concert, and coming back for the after party without worrying about your car!
After Party: Head right back over to Buffalo Iron Works after the Pearl Jam concert. Your Love Book Captain, Lori, author of the upcoming fan book, To Pearl Jam With Love, will be hosting. Also, cover band Mookie Blaylock will be on stage rocking your socks off!
